Bird Watching Course

A study of seasonal changes. Every day & night something happens in nature. Some changes occurred. As season changes, nature get transferred to another form. Old are vanished & new are born. There are many life cycles during the year. Each season is dedicated to something special. Every living thing on earth shows a special appearance in a specific period which we call it as season. If you are eager to know these changes & to tell others about it, then you are liable to become a WILDLIFE INSTRUCTOR. For that basic knowledge of nature is necessary.

Bird Watching Certificate Course

Course Date – 1st December 2016
Duration – 1st December 2016 to 28 February
Eligibility - H.S.C.
Per Batch – 100 Students
Course Fees – 3000/-

There is a reason to every creation in nature. And so to understand that we must understand the origin of earth and the evolution of living beings. The geography, plants, animals and the ecology of a place is determined by the history of a place. And one must learn under the guidance of experts. For this we have started a training program, Naturalist training program. We take up a few students from this program for WILD OUTDOORS as Naturalists for job or on assignment basis.

Structure of the Course

Place – Satara Road, Pune 43
Duration - Three months
Lectures - Four lectures per week
Total Lectures - 60
Timing - 6.00 to 8.30 Saturday & Sunday 11.0 pm to 1.30 pm
Field visits – 4 (Minimum)

Add-Ons
  • Field training – Three field visits to different types of forests.
  • Wildlife films
  • Visuals (Presentation) on each topic
  • Daily Slide Shows

Major Topics
  • Life of Birds (Families & Species)
  • Life of Mammals (Families & Species)

Faculties
  • Introduction to major Sanctuaries, National parks & Project Tigers
  • Location of the Project Tiger or National Park
  • Geography of the Project Tiger or National Park
  • Wildlife existing therein

Communication Skills
  • To deal with masses
  • Knowledge requirement of tourists
  • How to present yourself as a Bird expert

Field Visits
  • Minimum three field visits in different sanctuaries or forest types
  • Every visit will be a single day visit
  • Costing of field visits will be Rs. 1000 for single day & Rs 2000 for two day visit
  • Field visit – One day Field visit to Phansad or Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary

So we are conducting a course 'Nature Education Program for students' in Diwali & Summer vacations. The details of the program are as bellow.

How 'Nature Education Program' will benefit students
  • This syllabus is a part of their curriculum.
  • Students will get that amount of knowledge which the textbooks does not cover.
  • Upbringing of their knowledge.
  • Will definitely add to their personality.

Field Tour
  • Date of the one day field tour will be announced during the course.
  • Fee for the Field Tour is included in the course fee.
  • The parents willing to participate in the field tour will be charged TBA.
